Key Responsibilities

  • ESG and Business Integrity Performance Monitoring :
  • Assist in portfolio monitoring and KPI data collection across diverse sectors.
  • Support the implementation of ESG, BI and Impact action plans with portfolio companies.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of ESG deliverables and track progress against targets.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing of ESG best practices and insights across the SPE team.
  • Climate, Impact & Sustainability Reporting :
  • Contribute to climate-related disclosures and TCFD-aligned reporting frameworks
  • Support preparation of annual impact reports for Limited Partners and development finance institutions
  • Conduct data analysis and create compelling visualizations for ESG and Impact metrics
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through streamlining reports, developing analytical tools, and harmonizing reporting processes

Candidate Profile & Requirements

  • Education & Background :
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Business, Finance, International Development or related fields.
  • Skills & Attributes :
  • Strong academic performance with demonstrated interest in ESG and impact investing
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and experience with data visualization tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (required) and French and/or Arabic (preferred).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong interest in emerging markets and sustainable finance in Africa
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Preferred :
  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks (IFC Performance Standards, The Impact Principles, TCFD) or sustainability reporting standards
  • Previous work or project experience in sustainability, impact assessment, or related fields.
